Course notes
Notes I took as a student at the University of Strasbourg, together with the exercise sheets and past exam papers that came with each course — from the third year of the bachelor's degree to the second year of the master's.
None of the physics here is mine. The courses, the exercise sheets and the exam papers are the work of the teaching teams who wrote and taught them; what is mine is only the note-taking, and the keeping of the archive. Posted in case they are useful to whoever comes next.
Scattering theory, second quantisation and the tools the rest of the master's degree assumes.
Beyond the ensembles: fluctuations, out-of-equilibrium behaviour and critical phenomena.
Atoms and fields, from the semi-classical treatment to quantised radiation — with three past exam papers.
Free-electron gas, semiconductors, junctions and magnetism, in ten sheets.
Relativistic kinematics, symmetries and their violations, decays and the standard-model machinery.
Perturbation theory, angular-momentum coupling, fine and hyperfine structure, density matrices.
Ideal quantum gases, the Ising model and real classical fluids — plus seven past exam papers.
